Diane Gamboa
Los Angeles, California

Diane Gamboa's new medium size iconographic trajectory paintings narrate life's little secrets in mysterious and eloquent language with a mix of daring wit and a touch of sustained boldness.

Diane Gamboa with Bruja-Ha has transformed Tropico virtually into a "Botanica" with close to 100 potions and  powerful objects sure to dazzle and indulge from the most eccentric to the most skeptical believer.

Considered at the cutting edge of art in Los Angeles, Diane Gamboa always produces new work at a pace consistent with her abundant energy and focused direction.

Diane Gamboa is currently featured in the upcoming exhibition "CHICANO VISIONS: American Painters on the Verge" to open on May 30th  at the Museum of Contemporary Art, San Diego-La Jolla as part of its  5-year-15-city tour, as well as in the historic and contemporary  "Chicano Art for Our Millenium" exhibition at the Mesa Southwest Museum in Arizona through September 19, 2004.
